DuoLingo and other Apps

There are many great Apps for learning a new language, and here are some of mine. Be sure to have some apps to play with when you are killing some time in traffic, or waiting for someone!

DuoLingo: Fun activities that combines a game with basic language learning skills. Starts on beginner level, so for advanced learners the first levels can be a bit too basic. Note that DuoLingo offers a wide range of languages, I am currently working on my Portuguese!

BEP: Podcasts over business topics. There are many free lessons, but the majority has to be bought. I have downloaded most of the free ones, and found them informative and interesting.

Umano: A great application, a base for countless short speeches (around 4-6 min), on any topic imaginable. My areas of interest are at current: 'For Women', 'Breaking News', 'Lifestyle', 'Forbes' and 'Business'.

Podcast: Among the podcasts I have downloaded is a serie that is called 'Embrocast'. English popsongs are being translated to Portuguese, in Portuguese.

English Grammar in Use: Grammar tests, the application follows the chronology of the book with the same name. But even without knowing the book, the tests are an excellent way to train ones grammar.
